Interactive Technologies ITECH, AAS is a program where students explore and prepare for emerging careers utilizing technologies in Business, STEM, Social Media, Web Design and Development UX/UI, Education, Government, Entertainment and much more.

Students gain confidence using creative technologies creating web applications, and digital marketing or digital media content such as computer animation, game design, 3D product design, virtual reality, internet of things. These emerging careers are viable to all industries. Due to the expansion and quality in internet broadband width, interactive technology skills are needed more today than ever before.

The ITECH program offers students the ability to choose the industry they are most interested in or they may select from all three concentrations to explore:

Track 1 – Digital Marketing is designed for marketing students to complement their business interest, covering social media marketing strategies, website design (UX/UI) and the ability to create digital media. Students will gain skills in photography, digital design and basic web programming skills in order to market, design and develop New Media products or services.

Track 2 – Web Design and Development UX/UI is designed for students interested in developing dynamic web pages. Students will learn current web applications to develop interactive digital media skills. Students explore today’s best practices in digital design, web programming and web administration. Their hands-on experience with user experience and user interface methodologies will help attain a position as a web developer.

Digital Marketing and Web Design / Development skills need only an Associate degree for internships (2022). Job growth to 2029 is 23% increase much faster than average.

Track 3 – Computer Animation and Game Design offers students the opportunity to develop hands-on skills in product design, motion design, game design and 2D and 3D computer animation. Students work collaboratively developing effective narratives and concept art. They will explore character development, interactive code and time-based digital media skills to develop exciting dynamic prototypes that will help launch a creative career.

The Computer Animation and Game Design track are viable skills for internships, a bachelor’s degree is recommended. Job growth is predicted to be 9.3% to 2026


The core-requirements and an array of electives offers hands-on with digital design, business, social media marketing, basic programming for beginners and advanced, digital media strategist, content creators, management or supervisory best practices, storytelling, presentational skills, animation of 2D/3D, motion graphics or visual effects, how to engineer product designs, as a design thinking facilitator and much more . . .

A foundational program where students can explore and prepare for possible employment after graduation or internships, or transfer to four year colleges to continue their interactive technologies studies.


Whether it be digital design, Digital Marketing, Web Design UX/UI Development, or digital media strategist or Computer 2D/3D Animation and Game Design or the internet of things (IoT) or virtual reality VR, ITECH helps students to forge new relations with a community of like minded faculty and students who want to contribute to an emerging frontier that utilizes interactive digital media technologies.
